Daniel May specialises in custom brick and stonework where the finished result matters. From traditional stone masonry and stone cladding to fireplaces, feature walls, paving, and one-off architectural details, every project is different.

Meet Daniel
I'm Daniel May, the owner and creator behind DM Brickwork & Stone Cladding.
I started out as a bricklayer's labourer before becoming a qualified bricklayer. Over the years, I developed a strong interest in stone masonry and expanded my skills working alongside experienced stonemasons.
I established DM Brickwork & Stone Cladding in 2021 and have since worked across a range of residential and commercial projects, including heritage work.
I enjoy the creative side of masonry most. There's something satisfying about taking a pile of irregular pieces of stone or a stack of bricks and working out how everything comes together.
Every project is different. That's what keeps the work interesting.

Repairs, restoration, and heritage work
Brick and stone structures change over time. Mortar deteriorates, masonry needs repair, and older buildings can require a careful approach to preserve their character.
Daniel also undertakes masonry repairs, repointing, restoration, and heritage-related work. His experience includes heritage projects in the Geelong and Queenscliff area.
